One Foot on a Banana Peel

I say that like I have big, exciting plans for the weekend.  Nah.  I live, quite possibly, the most unexciting life on record.  It’s not by choice.  Mostly it’s due to being wed to a workaholic who is hardly ever available to do things.  I must admit he is getting better.  We do actually go out or get together with friends a couple of times a month these days.  That’s up from a couple of times a year.

Anyway, no big plans for the weekend.  We are supposed to go to a Halloween party of sorts at our friends’ farm tomorrow night, but that’s going to depend on the weather.  They build a big bonfire and we spend the whole evening outside.  We nearly froze to death last year.  It’s been raining since last night.  I can handle cold, but the rain has got to stop.  I’m not standing around in that.  I don’t know if I’m dressing up.  I’m thinking Eskimo if I do……longjohns, parka, hat, gloves, scarf…..

The rest of the weekend I’m going to be perusing my cookbooks trying to decide what to serve at my Avon Open House on Nov. 5, pricing items I have to sell (I want to give my customers a good enough deal that they’ll want to buy and still make a bit of a profit) and creating/printing contact forms and entry slips for the prize drawings.

Well, I’m off to find something for lunch and then it’s back to work.  One of the schools I drive for has early dismissals every Friday so I have to head back an hour earlier.
