That’s the bottom line. If you ask me. And you didn’t. But I’m sharing my opinion for free today. Lucky you.
What I’m talking about is the whole thing with the tainted pet food, animal feed and whatnot being exported from China into the U.S. Did you know that it’s not an isolated incident and that the government is well aware there is a huge problem? So, why don’t they do anything about it? Trade. Our businesses and farms want to be able to export to the ginormous Chinese market. If we do what we should be doing about their unsafe (and in some cases lethal) imports then they won’t let us send our products to them. Some of what they are sending us is absolutely revolting.
Read more about it here.

You are SO on the mark with this. Knowing the way Chinese treat dogs (and humans), I can’t imagine that any of us consumers would eat or feed any product if we had known that some of the ingredients came from China. Imports are not inspected. We need to demand more careful control or be given information that we can use to choose what we eat.

Bing has refused to buy anything from China for years. I used to get so frustrated trying to buy her gifts, anything….I mean, if you look at labels, nearly EVERYTHING is from China. Finally, she showed me several books she was reading that actually seem to suggest that China is well set to be the next huge super power and that America is going to fall hard when that happens. So, we have declared a boycott of anything made in China at our house. It is frustrating…but it can be done.

As much a sad commentary on our government as it is on China.
